Assignment: With a parent or adult, do the following:
1. Take a look at one or both of the websites below, and read a bit about some of the diseases.
2. Some on the first site are diseases, and some are conditions. Be sure to check with your adult guide to find out if you are reading about a disease.
3. If you don't find a disease that interests you on these 2 websites, then do a little research with a parent to find diseases that interest you.
4. When you are done, write down your top 3 or 4 choices on a sheet of paper that you'd like to research, and bring it to school on Monday.

1. Paste the link in the comment section of this blog post.
2. Then write a short description of why you like this site, the diseases it covers, and how it might be useful to your classmates.
3. Remember to sign your first name!
4. You will get 1 extra credit point in the subject of health for each website and description that you add. (you may earn up to 5 extra credit points)
I can't wait to see what sites you come up with that will help us with our research!

ReplyDeleteis my website that has viruses, diseases, conditions etc. It might show diseases that catch your interest that normally wouldn't. It does this from being able to click it and see what it is, if its a disease or a condition or virus.

Here is another website which informs us about how to prevent treat and control the symptoms of various diseases and medical conditions.
health.howstuffworks.com/
The reason I like this following site is because it talks about various genetic disorders such as Down Syndrome, Alzheimer's, Sickle Cell disease and many more. A genetic disorder is a disease caused by an abnormality in an individual's DNA. This is a very interesting research topic and that is why I chose this site.
http://learn.genetics.utah.edu/content/disorders/whataregd/
This site contains information from the centers for disease control (CDC) and prevention. it has an A to Z index for many of the diseases discovered by scientists. the reason I liked this site is because it has a Statistics & Surveillance section, Know More Section and a Resource Center which will help the class in its research topics.
