Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton
My hero is Susan B. Anthony. She was a strong, independent and incredible human being because she fought for women's rights, civil rights, education reform and changes in the labor laws. Even though many people threatened her life because they didn't like what she was doing, she continued to travel around the country and made speeches to encourage women to fight for their right to vote. She also fought for the end of slavery and wanted former slaves and women to have the opportunity to the same education white men had. Finally, Ms. Anthony also wrote a paper that inspired people to fight for an 8 hour work day with equal pay for men and women. She accomplished so much throughout her lifetime, and I can't imagine what our world would be like if she hadn't been a part of it.

ReplyDeleteOne of my heros is Marti Luther King Jr. because he fought for rights for Americans. Also I just can't emagine having diffrent rights from others and other people not being able to use the same things as me.

ReplyDeleteMy hero is Sacagawea. She is my hero because she helped save peoples lives by helping people get out of the water and not drown. She also got food so they could survive and she saved something that was very important to Louis and Clark. She was able to save their journal that contained all the things that they saw on their trip.

When he wanted to fight against the bad people he didn't use violence. #3. She also saved Popm when the boat started to sink. She saved some tools and notes that fell out when water came into the boat. When she returned this stuff to Louis and Clark they were very grateful. She was always ready to help do anything like set up a tipi. Sacagawea is my hero.

Someone didn't write their name up above. I'm also confused because there are people who still aren't following the directions. You needed to explain 3 facts to support your opinion. When you say someone "freed others from prejudice", for example, you need to tell others what you mean.

Like some people didn't get to drink out of the same water fountain and when a african american girl didn't give up her spot to a none african american man she got sent to jail. But Martin Luther King Jr. started a bus boycott. and he never gave up.
